Faculty Development Program at Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology (SSIT)
Ashtaksha Labs at AICTE-ATAL FDP, SSIT Tumakuru: Driving Awareness in Automotive Cybersecurity We are proud to share that our CEO, Nandi Dharma Kishore HN, from Ashtaksha Labs, was invited as a distinguished speaker for the AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy Sponsored Faculty Development Program (FDP) organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SSIT Tumakuru, on 22nd August 2025.Mr. Nandi Dharma Kishore delivered an insightful session on “Security and Privacy in Real-Time Embedded Automotive Systems.”
The session emphasized the growing importance of Cybersecurity in Automotive Systems and shed light on:
- Cyber-attacks on Bharath – Automotive Systems
- Top attack vectors in modern Automotive Systems – including Telematics units, Infotainment/ECUs, Vehicle Mobile Applications, and EV charging infrastructure etc.
- Security challenges in RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems) and how vulnerabilities can escalate into life-threatening scenarios.
- Importance of Multi-layered Security models with a Root of Trust as the foundation for resilient Automotive Security.
- A live demonstration of Malicious CAN Injection, showcasing how adversaries can compromise real-world Automotive Systems.
- Practical dos and don’ts for ensuring Automotive Security, along with possible preventive measures.
Given that Automotive Systems draw vital contributions from ECE, Mechanical, Electrical, and CSE, the session was especially valuable for participants across these domains. It reinforced the interdisciplinary nature of Cybersecurity.
And the session was highly engaging, well-received, and appreciated by the faculty and participants for its real-world relevance and technical depth.
Special thanks to:
